Henry Lee, DDS
Dr. Henry Lee is a highly accomplished and respected dentist with over four decades of experience serving the dental needs of the Olney and greater Washington community. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his M.S. from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Lee obtained his dental training at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, where he was elected a member of the Prosthodontic Honor Society.
Dr. Lee has completed the United States Dental Institute program in orthodontics and is a consulting dentist for a major dental materials manufacturer. He is committed to staying up to date with the latest techniques and materials in his practice and was one of the first general dentists in the country to apply microscopic magnification for all phases of dentistry. The use of microscopic magnification allows for unmatched visualization for the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems. Dr. Lee is a certified dentist for the Solea® laser, which is one of the most advanced dental lasers available. This laser allows for the treatment of many carious lesions (cavities) and periodontal conditions without anesthesia. He is a member of several professional dental organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association® and the Maryland State Dental Association. Dr. Lee was also elected as a fellow in the American College of Dentists in 1997, which is an honor bestowed on less than 3.5% of all dentists in the U.S. Dr. Lee has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to dentistry and has been voted as one of the top dentists in the Washington metropolitan area by the Washington Consumer Checkbook. He is also included in the “Guide to America’s Top Dentists” and is an honors list dentist on Angi, a consumer guide and rating organization.
Dr. Lee has lectured both internationally and locally on the topics of cosmetic and microdentistry and has held leadership positions in many local and national dental and medical organizations. He is a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he has one of the more popular general practice clinics. He has served on numerous county and state boards and commissions in Maryland, including the Montgomery County Board of Education and the Governor’s Commission for Asian Pacific American Affairs.
Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Lee is active in many civic and local Olney school organizations. He has coached for the Olney Boys and Girls Club for many years and has served as chair of the MidCounty Citizen Advisory Board and the Interagency Coordinating Board for Montgomery County, where he was the longest-serving chair. Dr. Henry Lee’s commitment to excellence in dentistry, patient care and community service make him a respected and beloved figure in the dental profession.
Alex Lee, DDS
Dr. Alex Lee grew up in Rockville, Maryland, and attended Magruder High School. He continued his education at the University of Maryland, College Park where he played soccer for four years and captained the team his senior year. Dr. Alex went on to play professional soccer in the MLS and USL, as well as for the Guam national team for seven years, before attending dental school at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He is excited to join his father at the practice and provide exceptional dental care and help patients achieve optimal oral health.
Dr. Alex believes in building long-lasting relationships with his patients and takes time to listen to their concerns and goals. He strives to provide personalized care and create treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. His gentle touch and calming demeanor help patients feel at ease during their dental appointments. Dr. Alex has continued his education, which includes the newest technologies in Solea laser treatment, 3D printing with SprintRay, ClearCorrect clear aligner therapy and implant placement, among others. Dr. Alex worked at the practice as a dental assistant from 2013-2018 during the offseason of his professional soccer career and is excited to be able to provide dental care to the community at a full capacity. Dr. Alex enjoys spending time with his brothers and continues to stay active through local basketball and soccer leagues.
